TROPFEST 2011

Last night I attended Tropfest 2011 in Sydney, the self-proclaimed largest short film festival in the world, which I cannot object to such a claim. It was an incredible experience and I recommend this annual event to anyone that has an appreciation for film and may be passing through Sydney.

Cloudy Week in Aussie Town

The clouds persistently hang over Sydney yet again today. However, I was determined to get out, walk the streets of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and head beach-ward. Although there were few to no people on the beach today, given the meteorological circumstances, I enjoyed the vibes Coogee had to offer me. In other news, tomorrow I press on with the search for an apartment. There is a showing tomorrow afternoon for a particular 1 bedroom abode exactly one block from Coogee Beach, which I am very keen on. Crossing my fingers.

Sydney (Day 1)

So after 32 hours of travel yesterday I finally made it to my friend Cait’s place in Sydney, Australia. As you can tell by the picture the weather here has been gloomy at best. Despite the depressing skies since I’ve been here I have found Sydney to be an unbelievably beautiful place. Arguably top 3 most beautiful, and I’ve been blessed enough to see some pretty amazing landscapes in my 21 years of life. I’ve spent most of the last day adjusting to the time change and apartment shopping online. In the next few days I hope to venture out and be able to post some pictures of some great places beneath some even greater weather!
